As a RFIC Design Researcher in High-Speed/mm-Wave ASICs & Systems Research at Nokia Bell Labs, you will be at the forefront of designing cutting-edge integrated circuits for next-generation communication systems, including 5G/6G and optical communication applications. You will collaborate closely with expert researchers and business divisions, shaping innovative architectures while mentoring and providing technical leadership to a talented team. Qualifications You have: PHD degree in Electrical Engineering or Master's degree with 5+ years of experience Strong hands-on experience in ultra-high-speed analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design in nano-scale CMOS and SiGe BiCMOS technologies Expertise in design, modeling, and simulation of millimeter-wave wireless transceivers and/or PLLs Proficiency in high-speed circuit simulation using tools like Cadence Spectre and Agilent ADS It would be nice if you also had: Experience in optical communication ASICs and coherent optical links design Familiarity with multi-modal sensing and sensor fusion architectures Strong interpersonal and coaching skills Ability to establish strategic industry partnerships and manage relationships Responsibilities Lead the design and analysis of cutting-edge high-speed/mm-wave integrated circuits for wireless, wireline, and optical communication systems exceeding 100GHz. Develop innovative architectures and technical solutions for next-gen 5G/6G communication systems and advanced point-to-point backhaul integration. Oversee the design and development of optical communication ASICs to enhance coherent optical link performance. Conduct system and circuit-level design reviews, fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering challenges. Mentor and provide technical leadership to a team of expert researchers, driving excellence in project execution and innovation. Establish and nurture external partnerships to create impactful R&D proposals, enhancing Nokia's strategic research presence. Manage state-of-the-art measurement equipment and design tools, ensuring a seamless end-to-end development process.
