Spring Branch Community Health Center is looking for a highly motivated pharmacist interested in managing an entity-owned 340B Retail Pharmacy located within a partner health center. Our pharmacists play an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities that are most in need. This includes immunizations, patient consultation, medication therapy management, and management of high-risk patients. This position is located at Spring Branch Community Health Center in Katy, TX. Pharmacy Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. Responsibilities include collaboration with administrative and physician leadership within partner Community Health Centers to implement pharmacist driven clinical and dispensing services to the patients served; developing and implementing collaborative practice agreements to help drive patient medication compliance for high-risk patients; implementing best practices and ensuring department compliance with 340B rules and regulations; ensuring adequate staffing is present to fulfill the needs of the pharmacy or pharmacy department; maintaining accurate records of all prescription medication received and dispensed; ensuring policies are in place regarding accurate dispensing and labeling of prescriptions and those policies are followed; ensuring security of the prescription area and its contents; ensuring only pharmacists and interns or externs under immediate personal supervision provide professional consultation; preventing dispensing of misbranded, deteriorated, adulterated, improperly stored or outdated drugs; maintaining the prescription area in an orderly and sanitary manner; and ensuring compliance with all Federal and State statutes, rules and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (PharmD preferred), 2 years pharmacy management experience, 3-5 years related pharmacy experience, pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located, immunization certification or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire, ability to work a flexible schedule, interpersonal relations and customer service skills, multitasking and time management skills, and 340B experience preferred.
