Job Description

About Tesoro XP:

Tesoro XP is a fast-growing platform already used by over 90,000 customers—and we’re just getting started. Founded by seasoned engineers and technologists, Tesoro XP is redefining how users interact with virtual economies and digital entertainment products. With proven product-market fit and real traction, we’re now turning our focus toward refining the product experience to dramatically improve usability, trust, and retention.

This is not a typical early-stage product design role—we’ve already built something that works. Now we need someone to help us make it exceptional.

The Role:

We’re looking for a product-focused designer with deep Figma expertise to join the Tesoro XP team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thinks in systems, cares about usability, and understands how great design drives user trust and adoption.

You'll partner closely with engineering and leadership to:

  • Rethink the end-to-end user journey of our current product
  • Build intuitive, consistent UI/UX patterns grounded in real-world user behavior
  • Define and develop a design system that supports scale across multiple platforms
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform product decisions
  • Work collaboratively (and candidly) with a team that values shipping, iteration, and user feedback over perfection

This isn’t just UI or UX. It’s full-stack product design—balancing aesthetics, usability, behavior, and business context to drive outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

Must-Haves:

  • Expert-level Figma experience — not just pretty mockups, but user journeys, prototyping, and design systems
  • A strong product mindset — you care about how things work, not just how they look
  • Experience designing and shipping real products with measurable user impact
  • Comfortable collaborating with engineers and leadership in a fast-moving environment

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Background in software development or engineering (or at least fluency in product/tech language)
  • Experience building and managing design systems (e.g., Material, Apple HIG, or custom frameworks)
  • A portfolio that includes both consumer-facing and B2B product work
  • Based in Austin, TX, or open to relocation

Who You Are

You’re not just a designer—you’re a product thinker who thrives in collaborative environments, gives and receives feedback well, and doesn’t take it personally when your first design gets torn apart (in a good way). You’ve been in the trenches, launched products, and learned from the users who loved or hated them. You want to be part of a small, sharp team that cares deeply about what they build and the people who use it.
