Job Summary Responsible for accessioning and processing of anatomic pathology specimens, and instrument operation and maintenance. May provide assistance with specialty specimen collection. Essential Functions Organizes, retrieves, and re-files pathology slide and block inventory Receives and accessions pathology samples Receives and return external pathology material to outside institutions Logs receipt and delivery of inventory Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications H.S. Diploma or GED required 1-2 years experience in anatomic pathology or clinical laboratory preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently Knowledge of medical and surgical terminology.
