Hybrid setting in Culver City, CA

Pay $150 an hour

Part time 20-25 hours per week

Are you a seasoned eCommerce leader with a passion for driving digital growth? We're seeking an Interim Head of eCommerce to strategically lead our online business for a 4-5 month contract, reporting directly to the CEO. This is a pivotal role on our leadership team, focusing on optimizing our eCommerce financial performance, site experience, and overall customer journey.

This interim position is from September 2, 2025, to February 20, 2026 . We anticipate approximately 20-25 hours per week , with flexibility and increased support (around 35 hours per week) needed during key commercial events, especially throughout November and BFCM.

What You'll Do

As our Interim Head of eCommerce, you will:

  • Lead eCommerce Operations: Drive the eCommerce team to meet goals and key strategies, directly impacting our P&L and growth plans. You'll be the primary link between the team and the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Execute Commercial Plans: Spearhead the development and execution of our commercial plan, with a critical focus on Black Friday Cyber Monday. You’ll ensure seamless strategic positioning and execution to achieve financial and operational targets.
  • Manage Digital Marketing Communications: Oversee all digital marketing communication efforts across channels like email and mobile, ensuring sales and margin goals are met.
  • Foster Cross-Functional Relationships: Build strong relationships with marketing, creative, and other business partners to support acquisition and retention marketing efforts.
  • Drive Retention Strategies: Guide and support the retention team in enhancing the site experience and optimizing email, media, search, and SMS in close collaboration with Marketing and Creative.
  • Influence Strategic Decisions: Participate in key milestone meetings, ensuring eCommerce influence and execution align with financial and assortment goals.
  • Collaborate on Performance Marketing: Work closely with the Head of Marketing as a thought partner and provide executional support, focusing on site and performance marketing.
  • Optimize Customer Journey: Lead and support the team in optimizing the onsite customer journey to enhance experience, reinforce brand positioning, and achieve commercial goals.
  • Manage External Partnerships: Lead relationships with developers, outside agencies, and tech partners to continuously improve and evolve the site experience.
  • Analyze and Act: Lead weekly eCommerce business meetings, translating insights into actionable strategies and driving team execution.

What You Bring

We're looking for a highly experienced, data-driven, and consumer-focused leader with:

  • Proven eCommerce Leadership: Extensive experience leading eCommerce businesses and teams, with a strong track record of P&L responsibility and site experience management.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Shopify (reporting to site management) and key technology partners (ESP, product recommendations, search, etc.).
  • Analytical Acumen: A strong track record of using analytics to provide strategic recommendations and drive growth for direct-to-consumer businesses. You can consume and understand complex data and work with decision analysts to achieve clear results.
  • Exceptional Communication & Collaboration: An outstanding communicator, leader, and collaborator, effective at influencing cross-functional teams and articulating ideas to all levels, from individual contributors to top executives.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a team-player, solution-oriented approach.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to successfully articulate and address complex business issues and opportunities, skilled at promoting collaboration and driving problem resolution across all levels of a business.
