ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Event Security for ASM Global/Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Event Security report to the Security Manager and is responsible for patrolling all areas of arena property and parking lots, securing doors, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees, and contract labor while on premises, and securing property during move in/out of trade shows, conventions, or events. Essential duties include standing guard during events, touring posts periodically to ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants, and others on premises, handling disturbances or problems during events, escorting disruptive individuals off premises if necessary, reporting incidents to supervisor, inspecting premises for signs of intrusion or tampering, examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure security, assisting with crowd control inside and outside the arena, controlling unusual circumstances during emergencies, responding immediately to emergency situations, acting professionally with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others, ensuring excellent service to clients, patrons, and vendors, and performing other assigned tasks. Qualifications include being 18 years or older, having graduated from High School or G.E.D, ability to work extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, ability to deal effectively with public and employees, ability to stand for long periods and climb stairs, ability to work inside and outside, neat and clean appearance, initiative to follow through on problems in absence of supervisors, ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively, and ability to work a flexible schedule. Physical demands include moving around the facility, standing for long hours during events, talking and hearing, and working inside or outside as needed.
