Job Description

We are searching for a skilled & creative Baker to help with our pastry program at Kreuzberg California! This position will also oversee the baking and delivering to all our other locations, including Kraken Coffee locations in Avila, Pismo and Bonetti Ranch, and our ice cream shop, Batch Old Fashioned Ice Cream. You should have strong baking experience in croissants, muffins, scones, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and cakes. This is a 35-40 hour per week full time job.

Baker Responsibilities:

• Woking with ownership to create custom recipes for all our locations.
• Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets quality standards and food cost goals.
• Creating mixing, proofing, baking and delivery schedules so that each location has their order when they need them, usually 6:00 - 7:00 am.
• This is not a clip board job, you will be baking most of the time too!

Baker Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of baking history.
• Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills.
• Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create amazing baked goods.
• Flexibility in scheduling. Food/Bev sometimes requires mornings, weekend, nights & holidays.
• Ability to work in hot, hectic environment, stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
• Must love working early in the morning.
• Must have valid California Drivers license and clean driving record.

Wages & Compensation:

• $18-$20+ hourly based on experience.
